OVERVIEWS OF ANDHRA PRADESH

 Andhra Pradesh is a state located in the southeastern region of India. It was formed on 1st November 1956 by merging the Telugu-speaking areas of the former Hyderabad State and the Andhra State. Andhra Pradesh is the eighth-largest state in India by area and the tenth-largest by population. Its capital city is Amaravati, and its largest city is Visakhapatnam.

Andhra Pradesh is bordered by Telangana to the north, Odisha to the northeast, Chhattisgarh to the northwest, Tamil Nadu to the south, Karnataka to the west, and the Bay of Bengal to the east. The state has a diverse geography that includes the Eastern Ghats, the Deccan Plateau, and a long coastline of 974 kilometers.

The major industries in Andhra Pradesh include agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism. The state is known for its production of rice, spices, and tobacco. It also has a significant presence in the IT and pharmaceutical industries.

Andhra Pradesh is home to several tourist destinations, including the historic city of Visakhapatnam, the pilgrimage town of Tirupati, the beach town of Vizianagaram, and the Araku Valley, known for its scenic beauty and coffee plantations.
